HER Sports was founded in 2019 by Nike Trainer and ultra-runner Bec Taylor, who saw a gap in Los Angeles:
there was no all-women’s running or training community built for performance, confidence, and connection.

So she created one.

What began as small meet-ups has grown into a powerhouse community training thousands of women — from their first 5K to their first ultra.

Today, HER Sports is led by expert coaches and captains who understand women’s training, women’s bodies, and women’s lives.

Together, they’re building a one-of-a-kind sporting community that balances performance, education, holistic training, and meaningful relationships.

MEET coach bec

Bec Taylor is a high-performance athlete and coach with over a decade of experience in endurance and strength training.

As an athlete, she was an Australian national champion in sprint triathlon and later transitioned to ultra running. In 2014, she placed 2nd in her first 100K race and has been hooked ever since. She has competed in iconic events like the Barkley Marathon and was part of the record-breaking all-female team for The Speed Project, running 340 miles from LA to Las Vegas. Most recently in 2024, Bec’s team set a new record in the 75-mile “Hollywood to the Sea” relay.

With a Bachelor of Sport Science and 12+ years in the fitness industry, Bec has trained elite athletes, coached millions through Nike Running Club, and now leads HER Sports full-time.

Her coaching style is grounded, powerful, and deeply supportive. Her passion is helping women build self-worth, confidence, and peak condition — and her energy is absolutely contagious.

She holds a Bachelor of Sport Science and has coached millions through Nike Running Club — now leading HER Sports full-time.

Coach Soph brings warmth, positivity, and miles of experience to the HER Sports community. With 12 marathons, countless half-marathons, and a background in yoga and holistic coaching, she’s all about building strong bodies and grounded minds.

Since joining HER in 2023, Soph has become a core part of the team — inspiring women to show up for themselves, find joy in movement, and celebrate every milestone. Whether it’s your first run or your next PR, she’s here to guide you every step of the way.
